Oregon's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:
FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $1,093,718.
The funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Oregon infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):
- First By Five Infant and Toddler Training, offered through the CCR&R Network.
- Oregon Statewide Mentoring Program to strengthen the infrastructure of support to providers caring for infants and toddlers.
- Supportive and refresher training services to trainers of the First-by-Five training, including an Early Brain curriculum that is also offered to providers (now offered through Portland State University's for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education).
- To support activities implemented by Oregon Commission on Children and Families, who fund strategies such as scholarships and materials for child care training
- Activities related to licensing and registration of providers caring for infants and toddlers.
FY 2004:
The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark was $1,102,797.
The funds were used in the following ways to enhance the Oregon infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may have been used to support these activities):
- Specialized recruitment and training activities through the CCR&R system to increase the supply of infant toddler care.
- First By Five Infant and Toddler Training , offered through the CCR&R Network.
- Oregon Statewide Mentoring Program , to strengthen the infrastructure of support to providers caring for infants and toddlers, and provide supportive and refresher training services to trainers of the First-by-Five training.
- To support activities implemented by each county's Commission on Children and Families.
- Activities related to licensing and registration of providers caring for infants and toddlers.
